Celestial Guardians (A3)
Ever wanted to be cheeky while playing a grass deck? Tsareena has got your number! With cards like Mallow to heal to full health and only needing one energy to attack, you can coin flip your soul away and potentially cheese some wins over your opponent’s.
What’s great about this deck is the consistency when you start with Sprigatito. Being able to search for your Pokémon is powerful. On the flip side, if you start with Bounsweet and have Tsareena and rare candy in hand, you can unleash a devastating 1 energy attack combo on your following turn. So, if you’re like my viewer Quacc and love coin flip decks that can threaten lethal extremely quickly, this deck is for you.
If you go first, ideally you open with Bounsweet with rare candy and Tsareena in hand. If going second, ideally, you open with Sprigatito so you can start searching for your Pokémon right away. These are the ideals, and you cannot always start like this.
At this phase, you should be evolving into Tsareena and Meowscarada, respectively, ideally, with rare candy. It’s okay if you have to use rare candy suboptimally, since you can only really use 3 of your Pokémon per game, usually. If you know a game will be long, use a rare candy on each line once. Otherwise, you risk losing the mirror. If you are forced to evolve naturally, this is okay too, as long as your opponent uses a slow deck. Otherwise, you might need to sack the active Pokémon.
If your opponent is running non-ex Pokémon, Tsareena is your best friend. If they use Ex-Pokemon, then Meowscarada is your best friend. Make sure when using Leaf Cape to only apply it one at a time due to Guzma. That card can single-handedly destroy this deck, so beware. Also, make sure to always flip heads with Tsareena. Failing to do so will result in lots of crying and salt on your side.
Meowscarada - Great at killing Ex Pokémon
Tsareena - The coin flip master for 1 energy
Sprigatito - Your search engine
Leaf Cape - Increases your HP by 30, really relevant in non fire deck matchups
Rare Candy - Helps accelerate to your win con, especially relevant on Bounsweet
Erica - Free healing
Mallow - Great in Mirror Matchups and low-damage decks
Optionally,
If you want to be extra greedy, you could run Lillie over Erica, but I strongly recommend against this. Sometimes, you will brick, and then Lillie will be utterly useless. Alternatively, you could run an extra Mallow, but I was trying to make this deck as competitive as possible, and unfortunately, that means only having space for 1 Mallow to make this deck work as well as possible. Essentially, deck space is really tight and in order to run this deck, you need as much consistency as possible.
Overall, this deck is a ton of fun. I would say that it has a place in this meta, albeit a small one. The issue is that coin flips are generally unreliable and can cause players to win or lose games they have no business winning or losing. Ultimately, this deck is for the gambler who wants to take tons of risks for big rewards. If you want to cheese some wins or lose spectacularly, this deck is for you.
🏆 Tier 4 — Tournament Proven
✅ Strengths: 150 max damage for one energy, very consistent searchability
⚠️ Weaknesses: coin flippy chaos, tight deck space, meaning little variation
