Why Play Meowscarada + Decidueye EX?

This deck can search for key pieces, swing hard and fast for only two energy, and pivot between your Pokémon fast without losing tempo. Players who want an easy setup in a rare candy deck will love playing this one.

Game Plan

Early Game:

• Start with Sprigatito in the active zone and search for relevant key pieces. 
• Help keep Sprigatito alive with Leaf Cape and Erika
• Set up your board, ideally with two Sprigatito and one Rowlet

Mid Game: 

• At this point in the game, you should be ready to evolve your Pokémon using rare candy or with your middle evolutions.
• Start attacking with Meowscarada to damage Pokémon like Oricorio or Ex Mons that Decidueye cannot handle independently. 
• Ideally, pivot between your two Meowscaradas to keep Decidueye safe and to keep up the pressure

Late Game:

• From here, make sure to use Decidueye to clean up
• In case you couldn’t get a second Meowscarada going, make sure to keep Decidueye and your sole Meowscarada healthy to avoid Cyrus or becoming one-shot by your opponents' Pokémon

Tech Options & Variants

Guzma is a great tech option against the Darktina matchup. However, deck space is tight, so losing out on extra healing can make other matchups, including the mirror match, worse. 

Red is another great tech choice that helps hit key breakpoints against other Ex decks, but at the cost of struggling more against Oricorio deck variants.

Final Thoughts: Mastering the Deck

Overall, this is a strong tier 1 deck that happens to be doing quite well due to the enormous amount of Darktina players (Darkrai EX + Giratina EX). If you want a consistent deck that doesn’t rely on basic EX Pokémon to win games, this deck is for you. It’s a consistent Rare Candy deck, which is essentially unheard of at the current moment.
